The NHMF Study Tour 2017 took place in London. The first day explored the particular challenges of service delivery in London. We visited a number of sites focusing on different approaches to mechanical and electrical installations, including Portcullis House for a talk on refurbishment of the Houses of Parliament and a City West Homes district heating site visit.
The second day, was a standalone Fire safety masterclass.
Meeting was held in the Crypt of St Paul's Cathedral. There were 60 places for delegates to come together to consider this important topic.
Speakers included Andrew Lancaster of Anthony Collins Solicitors who covered the legal obligations for landlords. Jan Taranczuk, Paul Coffey and Peter Gray delivered a case study on LB Ealing's fire safety review and other aspects of fire safety which included: fire risk assessments, new fire safety policy and Rule 43 letters.
The study tour was attended by members of the NHMF committee, the NHMF Contractor Forum and was open to Directors or Senior Managers working in the maintenance or asset management areas of UK and the Republic of Ireland Social Housing.
The event has now ended.
