Karl is currently a consultant working for ARK a leading housing consultancy firm that offers a range of services to help organisations deliver high quality homes for residents.

From 2019 to 2023, Karl was Head of Asset Compliance for Anchor, the largest specialist housing provider in England who provide a range of housing tenure types for 60,000 residents managing 54,000 homes. He managed a range of compliance services to ensure all Anchor residents and colleagues lived in safe homes.

Karl started in the sector in 1994 as a repairs surveyor for Birmingham City Council. He has been a senior manager since 2002 in the sector at Head of and Director for various regional and national social housing providers as well as being a Board member at WATMOS from 2014 to 2023.

Karl was appointed Deputy Chair of the NHMF Executive team in 2015 and has been the group Chair since January 2018.
