Rick has led innovation programmes, including the £4-million Building Whole-Life Performance, the £4-million Future Energy Management of Buildings, analysis of the £17-million domestic retrofit programme and the £1-million development of a free-to-use toolkit for building information modelling.
Rick is a chartered engineer through CIBSE. In 2006, he gained a PhD in smart energy technologies from Nottingham University.
